This amazing summer is coming to an end...between two weddings and many adventures...it is officially time to get back to work. Fitting that it is Labor Day weekend here in the US.
A "whale watching" trip to the farallon islands...
no whales, but LOTS of seasickness!
A rainy, but beautiful, day for our UK wedding
My mom, Nancy, enjoying some wine on our wine tasting tour
Emma, Eunice, and Amber enjoying some street
music
See....the whale watching tour was not that great for Eunice and I! Mark, Niel, and Emma had no problem and saw many birds (but no whales!)
An American baseball game! Go Giants!!
A very patriotic party indeed!
Naomi, Gabrielle, Natalie, & Amber
Grace picking out the best cupcake
Neil and Eunice
Eunice, Emma, Amber, & Nancy
Emma and Amber
Amber and Emma wine tasting
Mark and Emma braving the cold to see the view
And little Jackson enjoying the festivities!
Our US wedding day
Wine Tasting
This was just a taste of the incredible summer we shared with our family and friends around the world. Thank you to all of you who played a part in making it an amazing summer. But the "sun has set" on this adventure only to start a new one soon! Emma left today to head back to the UK and then on to South Sudan on Tuesday to start a new work season...
So until next time...
Amber and Emma's journey through the world working, volunteering, and playing.

So....it turns out I like this blogging thing! Love that people have made comments and that you have looked at what we are up to. Today we drove along the Avenue of the Giants in Northern California. These trees are some of the oldest trees in the world....that's right...the world...

We had an amazing day. Saw some enormous trees, had a picnic in them (I got 10 mosquito bites in the 10 minutes we scarfed our food!), and even drove thru one.
I have lived in Northern California for 13 years and only have 4.5 months left so am trying to get as much in as possible.
